Cleaning + Conditioning 

The best practice is to air dry our mittens. Drying with no heat if you have a GearDryer is best as we precurve our mittens for dexterity—this allows them to maintain the best shape.

Additionally, you can spot clean our mittens and wash them on the “hand wash” cycle, or handwashing them with gentle detergent. Again, we don’t want them to spin in the wash to maintain the best structure for outside play. You can always message us with additional questions about your Chopper Mills at hello@choppermill.com. 

In the off-season, it is best to treat with Chopper Mill Natural Leather Balm to condition the goat leather before storing in your Chopper Mill bag. Click here for a video of how to apply our leather balm.
